You'll need a baseball (obtainable in the Bat Hole). Throw it at the beer batter to defeat it.

(For the curious, many minor-league baseball teams have a promotion where a batter on the opposing team is designated the "beer batter". If this batter strikes out, all the fans receive discounted beer for the next few minutes. This encourages vicious heckling.)
