This here is Jaigarh Fort, so imposing it was never attacked:
Rather unexpectedly, the best thing about it was..
MONKEY BUTT!
:D
Okay, well, the monkeys in general. :)
Flying Monkey!
Wall-Running Parkour Monkey!
I saw a monkey do a rather high wall-jump, too, but I didn't catch it on film. :(
Some lazy monkeys:
Sparring monkeys:
I kept thinking: How come humans stop doing this sort of thing past the age of 12? It looks like so much fun!
And finally, a monkey stares back:
And this is one reason I don't like having guides. I spent a good 10 minutes squatting there, taking pictures of monkeys. :D My guide would've been confused. :P
Up next: The Taj Mahal!

You're taking my "Indiana Toasty" comment to heart, aren't you? Where's the crystal skull?

Wait, so ... the monkeys were wild, and just running around loose, and you were just sharing the space with them? They're not dangerous? I'm kind of amazed you could be in such close proximity with SO MANY MONKEYS just like that! =) I've heard stories of monkeys trying to steal stuff from people, or throwing poop, or whatever. How big are they? Is there enough natural food for them, or do they subsist off fort tourists feeding them leftovers? SO MANY QUESTIONS!

Yeah, they were just hanging out at the fort. I didn't hear any story about dangerous monkeys until afterward. These monkeys didn't care about people at all. They just ran right past you. Hm. I guess I don't have a good scale reference, but they were about as big as I expect monkeys to be? :P Not tiny, but not huge either.
I have no idea what they eat. There was a tree that they would climb around in, too, but I didn't have any good pictures of that. :P
