Wacky Construction Vehicle

Got stuck at an intersection on my way home tonight because of this thing:

[wacky construction vehicle]

There was a bigass truck in front of it at first, too. What is that thing? Some sort of road-paving thing maybe?

P.S.: And why do the green lights look cyan?

Actually, that's a road-unpaving machine. It moves forward slowly, ripping up the concrete from the existing roadway as it goes. The concrete chunks move up the conveyor belt on the front into a waiting dump truck. I've seen one in action, and it's pretty impressive. I watched it fill up a long, trailer-style dump truck in about two minutes. I'd like to see someone do the calculations to figure out how much horsepower it takes to do that.

Wow! Awesome! Yeah, it was dumping stuff into a truck in front of it before.

Thanks for the info, Steve!
