I just went to the Legion of Honor museum's Art Deco exhibit, open through July 5. I highly recommend it. It's really cool and rather varied in style. I like how the art of the time was different and new, but also pleasing to the eye.
The thing I found most interesting was how, instead of listing an artist, several of the objects listed a company instead, along the lines of:
Statuette of female figure
Sears and Roebuck Co.
mixed media, 1927
I made up the details there, but you get the idea. :) I like the idea of having art and design in everyday products like outboard motors and radios and such. So many modern products have such boring design.

In completely unrelated news... a while back I wrote a post about obscenity laws, titled, "Will somebody PLEASE think of the fucking children!" Guess what? I was looking through my server logs, and to my horror I'm getting Google hits from people searching for "fucking children" and "fucking children photographs". I am officially disturbed. :\ I figure: At least I'm making it that much harder to find what they really want!
